Case 1 - High iron indicated a problem with a rear end. The truck was brought in and repaired. Repair costs were $6,000. Had it gone to failure, the cost would have been $10,000 => $4,000 savings.

Case 2 - High glycol levels were found in a crane engine. This was subsequently brought in for inspection and found to have a cracked head. The engine was immediately changed-out to avoid a failure while lifting it’s 100,000 pound load capacity.
