TrakkaTM V1.3 "The Condition Alerts Release"
We
have all been waiting some time for
this one,
and finally it's here... and we're excited!!
TrakkaTM
V1.3 was successfully released on July 21. The release was originally
scheduled five days earlier for July 16, but the decision was taken to
postpone the release slightly so we could make extra sure it would
operate reliably for our customers. This is the most significant
release of TrakkaTM so far, and now it can be fully used in
place of FleetOil.
Major
Additional Features include:
- User
definable
condition alerts - automatically alert equipment problems
through a powerful and intuitive
alert management system. Alerts can be set for single components or
groups of components and tailored
fully to your site conditions.
- Multiple
Alert
Profiles - slice and dice your alerts that way it makes sense
for your site. Each component can
have multiple alert profiles so you can set one alert profile for wear
metals and another one
for lubricant properties.
- Rates
of Change -
with longer and longer oil drains that are becoming more common, it can
be difficult to
know if it is adversely affecting your equipment or not. TrakkaTM
takes
oil age, oil usage, and
lubricant capacity information and does the hard work for you. You can
also
compare it with all your like equipment.
- Trend
by
Component Hours - now you can trend only the test results since
your last component change and
view the component age (hours, miles, kilometers) on the axis. Add
existing trend grouping functionality to the mix and now you have a
powerful new capability - compare lifetime trends
for all your like components!
TrakkaTM
provides unparalleled
ease of use and sophistication - a tool your whole enterprise can
depend on and benefit from. To find out more about what Trakka can do

MaintenanceGuy
Delivers to UK Premier Rail Company
Great North Eastern Railway (GNER)
has adopted
MaintenanceGuy for the reporting of oil analysis
results and sharing the information with its engineering supplier,
Bombardier.
GNER,
publicly recognised as Britain’s best long distance inter-city
rail company, has recently won a new
10-year franchise to run trains between London, the East Midlands,
Yorkshire, the
north east of England and Scotland. GNER’s fleet of high speed diesel
and
electric trains are intensively utilised. This requires effective oil
analysis
through its supplier, Scientifics, and the delivery of high quality
effective
reporting to both train operators and equipment maintainers.
Magnus Conn, GNER’s Chief Engineer,
recognised the benefits of MaintenanceGuy in providing results quickly
and
effectively, allowing data management and decision making for all
involved.
After authorising an internal trial the benefits of the system was soon
recognised resulting in full fleet adoption with supplier access.
Magnus
commented “ the need to act on oil test results by providing the
information
quickly and effectively, thereby helping to minimise expensive in
service
failures and increase train availability,
is successfully met with MaintenanceGuy.”
