Free Multi-media Trakka demo available
Dingo's product management group released Dingo Trakka as planned on August 31, 2004.
This .NET based system will complement MaintenanceGuy(r) in Dingo's product line, providing more
analysis and collaboration power to users who want to establish an enduring culture of maximizing
equipment performance and asset profitability.An on line multi-media demo is now available from Dingo on CD. This demonstration movie illustrated Trakka being used in a diagnosis of a fleetwide contamination control issue.
Some of the exciting new features demonstrated include:
- Group trending - compare oil analysis data from one unit to other similar units
- Correlation (Lock-step) finder - find trend relationships (e.g. lock-step) easily with independent trend scaling
- Oil Sample inbox - access your latest samples instantly
- Action Assurance - ensure problems are not missed and recommended maintenance actions are recorded
Interpretation tip - Torque Converter / Transmissions
One of the goals of a well run oil analysis program will be to allow a component to remain in service for as long as possible - to use up all of it's service life.
There is significant financial advantage to doing this. Condition measurements (oil analysis) are taken to try to determine the end point as accurately as possible.
This example concerns torque converter / transmission assemblies using common oil only.
As the component nears the end of it's service life, there are several factors to watch for in oil analysis trends:
- particle counts in various size ranges
- component-specific indicators (metallurgy)

Oil Test is a Singleton Australia based testing laboratory, specializing in Mining services. Oil Test has recently completed
an interface to Maintenance Guy oil analysis software. This complements Oil Test's existing
DDF interface with the Dingo Lube Explorer and Fleetoil desktop condition management systems.
