Farrell Oil - Making Money by Saving Money
Managing four Hundred customers on an oil analysis program? Sounds like a lot,
but not to Farrell Oil based out of Wilton, New York. In fact, Farrell Oil has over 100 highway departments
and 70 school bus fleets on the KLAS.net program.
"The majority of Kendall lubricant customers are on the KLAS.net program." says Phil Faraone, Sales Manager for Farrell
Oil.
The two main reasons customers use the sampling is for preventative maintenance and savings.
Faraone says that his customers "find that many potential breakdowns are caught in the initial stage before failure."
Phil also describes the ability of the software to warn customers about a potential failure
as "phenomenal." He also said that the history function and new "Overdue Samples" report enables the maintenance professional to
track any discrepancies in sampling practices. This function allows the customer to avoid spending time
acting upon an improper sample.
The ability to identify potential breakdowns also brings a lot of dollars to the bottom line.
Faraone comments that one customer discovered they saved $1,000 a day by avoiding breakdowns.
Also, with the use of a quality Kendall lubricant and oil analysis, many customers are able to more than double their
drain intervals. Faraone stated that in fact all his customers end up saving money by switching to
Kendall lubricants and the KLAS.net program. "I show customers how to save money and as a
result I make better margins on the Kendall program. Kendall Lubricants and the oil analysis program go hand in hand. The
program truly is a value add for the customer.", says Phil.
Farrell oil has found a winning combination of price, quality, and margins. After talking with Farrell Oil, you quickly realize that the KLAS.net program is truly a win-win for all.

First "Trakks" on two continents.
Dingo's TrakkaTM V1.1 debuts this month at a surface coal
mine in the USA and a power generation site in Australia. The coal mine will will use
Trakka as the cornerstone of it's Condition Based Asset Management (CBAM)
Program while the power generation site will benefit from combining multiple condition
monitoring disciplines on the one internet enabled platform.
Both sites will benefit from being able to compare trends for similar equipment, enabling faster,
more accurate condition assessments to be made. At the coal mine Trakka will provide a single platform
for decision making that will be accessed by site personnel and Dingo engineers both on site and remotely
to help provide accelerated CBAM program ramp up and early benefit delivery
A multi-media demo is now available from Dingo on-line or on CD.
This demonstration movie illustrates Trakka being used in a
diagnosis of a fleetwide contamination control issue.
