PRODUCT TIP
Have you ever wondered how
regular your oil changes are? The
BENEFIT of tracking this is that it identifies problems with late oil
drains. If oil is left in service too
long, additives may be depleted or the base stock may be degraded to such an
extent that your equipment wear rate accelerates. Extending oil drains is not simply a matter
of leaving oil in service longer, it is a matter of leaving it in service as
long as it is serviceable!
The best way to check this
on FleetOil is to set up a graph view with OILMTRUNITS as a predictor. OILMTRUNITS is the oil age - a graph of this
quickly shows how regular the changes are.
You can also see how the fleet is doing by using the alarm group graph.
Here's How:
1. Start the Trend Viewer
2. Click the Setup button (tools icon)
3. Scroll down the "Predictors
Available" list till you find OILMTRUNITS and double-click it. This moves it into "Predictors
Selected". 4. To make sure the
graph scales correctly, you might like to set OILMTRUNITS on the right-hand
axis by itself. 5. Now click OK - this
saves your settings and returns you to Trend Viewer.
You should then be able to
see the trend for OILMTRUNITS or oil age
Best Regards,
Andy Ling
